Portable toilets for Mountain View projects and events
Mountain View is a city of two very different scales. North Bayshore and the areas near Shoreline Boulevard hold large tech campuses and new housing districts, where projects run for years with big crews. South of Central Expressway, neighborhoods like Old Mountain View, Cuesta Park, and Waverly Park are full of remodels, second units, and backyard gatherings.
We set up rentals to match both. On a campus or multi-family site, units are sized to the crew and placed according to the contractor's logistics plan. At home, one unit on the driveway usually does it, and if the gathering is bigger, we'll add a handwashing station or an accessible unit.
Mountain View is also specific about temporary restrooms at events. The city's Temporary Use Permit materials ask applicants to state how many temporary restroom units they plan, including how many are accessible. Shoreline at Mountain View event applications ask for the number of portable toilets and the rental company's insurance documents. If your event goes through either process, we'll help you work out the numbers.

Mountain View questions
Does my Mountain View event need a permit for porta potties?
Private parties on your own property generally don't. City special event permits are only for nonprofit and civic groups and are due 90 days ahead. Events under a Temporary Use Permit must list the temporary restrooms, including accessible units. Check with the city for your situation.
How many accessible units should I include?
If your event is under a Temporary Use Permit, the city asks you to list accessible units and expects them to meet CBC Chapter 11B. A common starting point is at least one accessible unit per event, more for larger crowds. Call and we'll talk through your layout.
I'm planning an event at Shoreline. What do you need from me?
Shoreline's application asks for the number of portable toilets. If restrooms are needed, the city wants the rental company's insurance certificate. Tell us your expected attendance and the approved location.
